Choose Him Completely

To be right with God they could not see.
How could they live the Law’s decree?
To be right with God they did not know--
Sacrificial blood flowed and flowed.

Discouragement grew, their hearts became hard--
To idols they bowed, away from the Lord.
Hurting and scoffing, they reveled in sin--
Filling their time, with no time for Him.

So what’s really changed over the years?
People hate and they hurt, they're in pain and in tears.
They hide from the Light in the dark of their pain
While He offers freedom from prison and chain.

To find a new Life you must lose yours first.
Come to the Light, and bury the curse.
Loving your life will just keep you down--
Trade the thorns of this world for the gold in His crown.

It starts at the cross, at the foot of a tree,
Where many and any can place suffering.
Trade for a Yoke that is easy and light,
Walk in His newness, His Power, His Might.

Learn from the Master, learn of His Ways,
Cherish the cost for your soul that He paid.
